Zimo Communications bought by J2 Global
J2 Global has continued its run of acquisitions by buying Zimo Communications.
Merger and acquisition consultants at cloud services provider J2
Global have used their negotiation skills for the third time this
year in order to acquire UK-based Zimo Communications, which
specialises in enabling voice over the cloud through
Numberstore.
J2 Global, which is based in Los Angeles, did not disclose the
details of the acquisition and explained any financial impact
caused by the purchase is not anticipated to be material.
Chief executive officer of the firm Hemi Zucker noted this
acquisition is the third the firm has made so far in 2012.
Earlier this year, it bought Boston-based Landslide
Technologies, which brings relationship management tools to small
and medium-sized enterprises.
Leter, it purchased Phoenix firm Offsite Backup Solutions, which
expanded the number of cloud-based services the firm provides.
The Zimo Communications acquisition "brings us additional voice
customers in the UK", Mr Zucker explained.
He added that the firm now aims to migrate these individuals on
to its existing platforms, "providing uninterrupted service while
adding features and leveraging the Numberstore momentum".
